The growth of the commodity output volumes of Leningrad NPP for the first half of 2010 in comparison with the similar period of the previous year is equal to 13%. That is provided by a positive pricing environment developed in the wholesale market for electricity and power, in comparison with the base period.
Financial and economic service of Leningrad NPP will submit this data to the Government of Leningrad region.
It is also noted in the report that within the first half of 2010 the average number of the nuclear plant personnel amounted to 5,387 people, 5,110 of which were industrial production personnel (for the first half of 2009 – 5,850 and 5,564 people respectively). The average monthly salary of Leningrad NPP employees for the accounting period was equal to 37,567.8 rubles (for the first half of 2009 – 28,622.4 rubles).
Leningrad NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located on the bank of the Gulf of Finland in Sosnovy Bor city, 80 km westward from Saint Petersburg. LNPP is the first Russian nuclear plant with RBMK-1000 reactors (graphite-uranium pressure-tube thermal reactors). The plant operates 4 power units withelectric capacity of 1,000 MW each.
In 2009 Leningrad NPP produced 26.486 billion KWh of electric power, it transferred to the system 24.239 billion KWh (in 2008 – 27.716 billion KWh and 25.385 billion KWh respectively). In 2009 the annual capacity factor was equal to 75.59 % (in 2008 – 78.88%).
The commodity output volume from electric and thermal power production of Leningrad NPP in 2009 was equal to 27 billion 495.6 million rubles or 130.8% of the similar value in 2008.
