Rostov nuclear power plant is the winner of the regional stage of the All-Russian contest

Deputy Head of Administration (Governor) of Rostov region Alexander Bedrik handed out the contest award – a First Degree Diploma – to the nuclear plant Director Alexander Palamarchuk.
Achievements of Rostov NPP in the development and improvement of the enterprise which was called an organization of high social efficiency were highlighted during the awarding ceremony.
For the first time Rostov nuclear power plant took part in this competition in 2006 where it won the first place in the "Remuneration and Welfare Payments" nomination and took the award in Moscow Kremlin Palace. In 2007, the plant ranked second in the “Human Resources Qualification and Personnel Training” nomination.
Since this year the contest is conducted in the new format: the first stage - the regional level, and the second stage - the federal level with regions representation. 
Thus, Rostov Region will represent the NPP at the federal level as the winner of the regional stage.
Deputy HR Director of Rostov NPP Gennady Fomenko, commenting on the event, said: "I think that this is not the last award. The nuclear plant personnel have a great potential, and the achieved results cannot be regarded as limits for perfection". 
Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. Power unit No.1 which was put into commercial operation in 2001 has the operated VVER-1000-type pressurized water reactor with installed capacity of 1,000 MW. The physical start-up of power unit No 2 with the reactor of the same type was carried out in December, 2009. Power unit No 2 undergoes the stage of experimental-industrial pilot production. Power units Nos. 3 and 4 are being constructed.
