"Turboatom" implements starting – up and adjustment works at HPP Naglu (Afghanistan)

Starting – up and adjustment works conduct in three stages: starting-up at “dry” set with check of work algorithms of all devices and sensors, the next stage – is flood of machine, with that equipment is testing on leakage availability and in the conclusion testing of turbo set under pressure, with that are controlled capacity, oscillating characteristics and thermal behavior. At this moment turbine is tested under pressure on quiescent condition.
Under contract’s conditions for HPP Naglu “Turboatom” will implement updating of four Francis turbines with unit capacity 23,5 MW and four butterfly valves with diameter 3,2 m. After reconstruction turbine capacity will increase to 25 MW, COE will increase to 3-5%. At hydro valves are updated valves system of compaction, bearing units and automatics system. On May 2009 delivery of equipment was finished and during the year it was erected. Erection and commissioning the rest three turbines will be in turn.
HPP Naglu was commissioned in 1965. Delivery of equipment was implemented jointly with the company “Technopromexport” (Russia). The contract on updating HPP OJSC “Turboatom” and “Technopromexport” was signed on December 2006.
