Kushnikovskoe Field Development Started 35 Years Ago

The field is currently operated by LLC “Buguruslanneft” (subsidiary of TNK-BP).
Tectonically, this field is situated within the boundaries of the northern area of the outer side zone of Mukhanovo-Erokhovskiy downfold and located in the northern part of Buzulukskaya depression near its junction with Yuzhno-Tatarskiy crest.
As of May 2010, the drilled stock is 25 wells and the active production stock is 10 wells. The field produced 13,600 tons of oil since the beginning of year. The average oil rate of a production well is 8.9 tons per day. Over 35 years of operation, the field produced ca. 1 mln tons of ‘black gold’.
