SOCAR Complex Drilling Works Trust to commission 78 wells in 2010
50% of the envisaged works have been already completed. The drilling works will cover Guba-Caspian zone, Absheron, Yevlakh-Agjabedi, Lower Kura zone, as well as the water territory of Baku and Absheron. Drilling works in exploration well No 89 from the platform No 82 in “Bulla-daniz” field are under way and after the well is put into operation, the filed will gain more perspective. At present, drilling works of the well No 8 in “Umud” structure are in operation. The well No 74 drilled from the platform No 18 in “Alat-daniz” field will produce 20 tons of condensate, 20,000 cubic meters of gas per day. The daily production of the well No 731 drilled from the platform No 730 in “8 March” field will make 40 tons of condensate, 350,000 cubic meters of gas. In 2010, the Trust will complete the drilling works of the well No 50 from the platform No 10, well No 69 from the platform No 19, and the well No 70 from the platform No 6 in “Gunashli” field. Each of the wells will produce 40 tons of oil and 250,000 cubic meters of gas daily. The daily production of the well No 209q from the platform No 76B is estimated for 30 tons of condensate and 300,000 cubic meters of gas. Besides, the wells No 338, 339 and 340, drilled in “Galmaz” territory for expansion of the Galmaz gas storage, will be commissioned during the current year.
