OJSC "Turboatom" tested and taken for dispatch the runner for Kanevskaya HPP (Ukraine)

In the presence of representatives of customer specialists of "Turboatom" checked functionality of runner to identity of blades turn and also pressure level. By the results of work was concluded act dispatch-accept, because all controlled parameters suited to the norms. In the beginning of June equipment will be dispatched to the customer.
At Kanevskaya HPP is realized the project of updating of horizontal capsule hydro turbine with installation of new runner and wicket gate. The designers of OJSC "Turboatom" are designed of new high effective turn-blade with diameter 6 m with renewed blade system. Wicket gate is equipped with new blades with better profile. After reconstruction the capacity of hydro set will increase from 19, 2 MW to 23 MW, COE will increase to 4% and also will increase safety and durability of the turbine.
To the scope of obligations of “Turboatom” also include supervise erection and technical management of starting up and adjustment works.
Cascade Dnepr HPP and HPSP consists of eight hydro power stations of summary capacity about 4 Million kW. 93 turbines work at the cascade, 90 of which supplied by "Turboatom". Basic equipment of Dnepr plants commissioned in 1950-1975.
Project realization of reconstruction of Dnepr cascade began in 1996. The first stage of work finished on June 2002. To this time to three hydro power stations were dispatched 18 packages of new hydro turbine equipment of OJSC "Turboatom" production.
The second stage of reconstruction includes updating of 64 sets of hydro power stations at Dnepr cascade, including for Kiev HPP – 8, Kanevskaya HPP – 22, Kremenchug HPP – 12, Dneprodzerginsk HPP - 2, Dnepr HPP – 1 – 3, Dnepr HPP – II – 8, Kahovskaya – 2, Kiev HPSP – 3. Till 2011 is planned to renew 46 sets. The customer of the project of updating - OJSC "Ukrhydroenergo". Today after reconstruction are commissioned 39 hydro sets, 8 – are in production, 3 - are at stage of erection.
