Smolensk NPP: Conference of International Association of young atomists took place

In the conference delegations of central administration of JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom», Balakovo, Beloyar, Kolskaya, Kursk, Leningrad, Smolensk NPPs, students of Obninsk institute of nuclear power industry, as well as representatives of Lithuania and Ukraine participated.
At the conference young employees summed up results of activity of the International Association for 2009 and considered matters of implementation of youth policy at enterprises of nuclear power industry of Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine.
«Today youth policy is supported by position of administration of operating organizations. Official documents between Russian concern «Rosenergoatom» and Ukrainian NAEK «Energoatom» are signed. They show that festivals, contests of professional skill and other events of youth are supported by the administration at high level. And it means that still more interesting deeds can be done», - noted vice president of International Association of young atomists Ilgiz Iskhakov.
In the course of three days of work, the conference participants discussed matters of international cooperation and information exchange, preparing to performing of international youth forums, creative festivals and scientific symposia.
«The key events discussed by us at the conference will be international symposium «Disnay» in Lithuania and Russian creative festival of young atomists «Desnay», - said resuming, advisor of deputy director general of concern «Rosenergoatom» Eugeny Churkin. – One of the most important lines of our joint work is opportunity of information exchange between youth organizations. Information and experience exchange enables the public associations to develop, see that they are not alone, to draw other’s experience and apply it at own sites.
Before celebration of the Great Victory, young atomists of Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine laid flowers at Field of Memory of memorial complex of Glory Barrow of Desnogorsk.
SmolenskNPP is branch of JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom». SNPP issues to energy network of the country about 20 bln. kWh of electric power in average per year, that makes about 13% of energy generated in concern «Rosenergoatom», and more than 80% of that generated by energy plants of Smolensk region.
