IES-holding “Generation of Urals” Division has summed up the results of activity on civil defence, emergency situations prevention and response in 2009

The prior work aspects in the sphere of civil defence, emergency situations prevention and response for 2009 included improvement of Governing bodies’ activity as well as of legal and regulatory framework, and check-up for readiness of supply, protective sheltering, powers and means of response to an emergency situation of both natural and technogenic character.
In 2009 “Generation of Urals” Division completed a major activity plan on civil defence, emergency situations prevention and response, fire safety and water life-saving. During the year 17 command team trainings, 40 special tactical trainings, 25 miscellaneous trainings and 31 inspections of different levels were performed at production sites of the Division.
As a part of work aimed to improve Civil Defence and Emergency Situation, “Generation of Urals” created in 2009 Emergency Situation and fire safety boards and formed evacuation bodies performing coordination of this aspect at all power production sites managed by the Division.
In May of 2009 miscellaneous trainings on Civil defence were performed at Cheboksarskaya TPP-2. According to the scenario of the first training day the fire started in engineering and utility building of the boiler-and-turbine shop, according to the second day plan of the training at TPP-2 there were practiced actions of the managers and the plant’s staff at the threat of the use of modern means of destruction by a “potential enemy”. The managers and the operative personnel of the Plant coped with the tasks of the training successfully.
In July of 2009 a Complex Fire-safety training took place at Kirovskaya CHP-5. According to the tactical plan of the training an inflammation of fuel-oil reservoir No.5 happened. Upon the training the management of Emergency Situations Ministry in Kirovskaya region evaluated all services’ actions as “good”.
In December of 2009 an out-of-plan staff evacuation being a “Fire Alarm Training” was performed in the executive office of “Generation of Urals” Division in Perm city, a “Fire Safety Month” was completed in all regions of the company’s operation.
