Leningrad NPP: Commercial Yield Grew By Nearly 31% in 2009

Commercial yield of the Leningrad NPP for 12 months of 2009 grew by 30.7% as compared to the corresponding 2008 period as tariffs on the electric power (capacity) supplied to the relevant wholesale market increased against the base period. The Leningrad NPP Financial and Economic Service will send these data to the Leningrad Oblast Government.
The report also mentions that the plant personnel averaged 5,708 employees, 5,429 of which were engaged in primary production, during 12 months of 2009 (as compared to 5,865 and 5,571 employees for 12 months of 2008, respectively). The average monthly wage of the Leningrad NPP personnel for the reporting period was 33,386.5 RUR (32,140.1 RUR for 12 months of 2008)
The Leningrad NPP transferred 1,225.6 mln RUR to the budget and non-budgetary social foundations during 12 months of 2009 (as compared to 1,171.2 mln RUR in 2008, year-to-year). The amounts transferred during the reporting period include: 617.6 mln RUR to the Leningrad Oblast budget (575.5 mln RUR in 2008, year-to-year.), 1,382 mln RUR to the local budget (1,164 mln RUR in 2008, year-to-year.), and 250.2 mln RUR to the Pension Fund of Russia.
The Leningrad NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern, OJSC. The plant is located in Sosnovy Bor, 80 km west of St.-Petersburg, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. The LNPP is the first power plant in the country operating RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium-graphite pressure tube thermal reactors). The NPP operates four power units with 1000 MW electric capacity each.
The Leningrad NPP generated 27,716 bln kWh of electric power in 2008; 25,385 bln kWh was supplied into the grid (as compared to 24,633 bln kWh and 22,515 bln kWh in 2007, respectively). The ICUF for 2008 was 78.88% (70.30% in 2007).
The volume of commercial electric and heat power generated at the Leningrad NPP in 2008 equaled 21,028.64 mln rubles, or 124.3% of the corresponding 2007 figure.
