Nail Ibragimov, Deputy Director for Operations - Chief Engineer of the Company told him about the systematic and extensive work of the oilmen in the field of resource saving, which started in 2000 and which enabled reduction of the energy resource consumption by 33.4% during this period of time.
Particular attention was attracted by the displays with information of all-Russia interest. This is a TATNEFT's associated petroleum gas utilization program bringing the level of utilization up to 98%, and development of the natural bitumen deposits in Tatarstan. Among other things the Company's exposure for the first time told about the Canadian rig for horizontal well drilling, which has been successfully operated at Ashalchinskoye bitumen deposit since this summer. The exhibition has presented the results of OAO TATNEFT activities for 10 years. Savings by the types of resources are as follows: electricity - about 176 thousand tons of fuel equivalent; boiler and furnace fuel - more than 1 million tons; fuel and lubricants - about 274 thousand tons of fuel equivalent.
The most effective result of the energy saving program has been received in the following areas of oil production. The economy in the system of crude oil treatment has been achieved through the introduction of preliminary effluent water removal installations at booster pumping stations. In the system of reservoir pressure maintenance the effect has resulted from raising the wellhead pressure in low injectivity and remote injection wells, as well as through the application of the internal polymer coated tubing. The saving in the field development system has been obtained through reducing the associated water volume production and reducing associated water volume injection, as well as through the application of the enhanced oil recovery methods.
The information on issues related to resource saving, which is part of the Energy-Efficient Economics program has been presented. The structure of the recourses under consideration includes material, as well as natural resources, with the total savings amounting to about 5 billion rubles in monetary terms since the beginning of 2005.
The Efficient Equipment and Technologies Contest results have been summarized in the framework of the past exhibition. Two Gold Diplomas have been awarded to TatNIPIneft R&D Institute (part of OAO TATNEFT) for the following developments: a PMR-146 metal expandable patch to seal the production string and a set of technologies for enhanced oil recovery methods application at the advanced field development stages. In addition, the Bronze Diploma has been awarded to the Bugulma Mechanical Plant of OAO TATNEFT for the insert filter.
