TITAN-2 holding started final stage of Leningrad-4 upgrades

Leningrad-4 was shut down for scheduled major overhaul which is planned to finish in April this year. All upgrades and life extension activities at the reactor will be accomplished in 2011. According to holding’s director general Yelena Naginskaya, this year work worth about RUB1.8bn (US$61.4m) is to be done.
TITAN-2 holding is the largest group of construction and installation organisations in the North-West of Russia, which construct objects for atomic and energy industry – from the development of design documentation to commissioning. The holding unites more than 20 business units with a total staff of about 4 500 people. The holding is implementing construction work at Baltic NPP, Leningrad NPP-2, Kalinin and Rostov nuclear power plants, Bushehr NPP in Iran, the South-West CHP, and other energy facilities.
