Testing Range for Energy Saving Technologies Established in TATNEFT

Wide application of new and innovative non-standard solutions for the development and operation of deposits with severe geological conditions allowed NGDU Yamashneft achieving a significant reduction in energy costs.
The Oil and Gas Production Board implements such energy efficient methods, as application of dual completion and production and dual injection technologies for operation of injection and production wells, introduction of multiphase pumps, injection of polymers of different modifications, usage of associated petroleum gas for electricity generation and crude oil treatment, operation of wells with pumps equipped with chain drives, and others.
The oil company has developed designs of the equipment, which allow reducing energy consumption in crude oil production by 18-20 percent. As of today, there are about 15 kinds of energy efficient solutions at TATNEFT's disposal.
The projects of this kind can be broadly applied at other oil and gas facilities of the Russian Federation. TATNEFT can become all-Russian training ground for development and practicing energy-saving technologies for the whole industry branch of the Russian Federation.
